The "What Did You Do Today" Thread....

Over the last few days I've been pulling my Gixer to pieces and this morning I also serviced my Honda CB100, fresh oil and cleaned the filters and adjusted the cam-chain. Both bikes have been an utter pain to work on...
The Gixer as the company I ordered some parts from, sent me the wrong bits and the CB because it is such a badly designed motorcycle... I had forgotten how much of a pain it is to service. You have to remove the footpegs, the kickstarter and the engine casing to get to one of the filters, at least they are a 6000 mile service item, the oil is a 1500 mile interval. The cam0chain is very easy to adjust thankfully though. It is now running nicely again. Not sure if it is still smoking though as not had a chance to get out on it yet, maybe pop out on it tomorrow. If it is still smoking, I guess I'll be doing a valve clearance check. I really need to get the tank off and check the torque of the barrel and head as it is seeping a little oil.
Way to go! You have far more talent, patience, and time than I do to get all that done and still be sane.

I did my 105k miles service which included this little bit of modded piece getting refreshed

So where does that go on my touring bike?

Here...

After wearing the edge of the footboard down a while bike and then grinding the mount arm in twisties, it was time to borrow an idea from Harley-Davidson's CVO touring bikes. They have these due to the expensive footboards they come with.

Beats leveraging the bike when the max lean angle got reached with little warning.

Well, maybe not epic, it was not an active volcano :D But still, another box ticked.
Wait... I have so many questions:

How does that actually become an item on one's bucket list? Did you think it up yourself, or see the idea posted somewhere? Did it burn? Were there no signs saying, "Do not approach the volcano with your mummy/daddy bits exposed?"

...How does that actually become an item on one's bucket list?...
Lets say, it made it in to the bucket list, a bit before I arrived. And the closer I got, the more sure I was, that it will happen. I am not sure if anyone has declared this to be their bucket list thing before.
For me, bucket list things start out as idea\flash in the brain, that something would be nice\cool to do. If that idea stays in the brain, it is cool enough to be part of the list. I don't have many (uncompleted) things in the list at the moment. All should be achievable, if Putin won't mess it up.

Putin messes up everything!

Too cool! I get the whole brain-flash-becomes-gotta-do-it thing :D

I need to update my bucket list ...

It's supposed to end today. It was an interesting walk home, from work, though. Snowplows and sweepers and all that kind of things have been doubled everywhere, but I still had to walk in snow, almost to my knee, most of the way. They have been able to keep the main roads somewhat clear though.

That's nuts. But a good use of a helmet!

I spent at least 2 hours tonight tinkering in Davinci Resolve, trying to color grade photos and video I show on my ZV-1. Of course, it was the last 20 minutes of daylight when I took the pics/vids, so I'm curious what an actual sunny day looks like on this thing, LOL.

I was supposed to go out in the snow on my Beta today, but couldn't muster any enthusiasm to get out of bed to do so. That is now on my to do list for tomorrow instead.
Today I have just fitted a lower saddle to my Aprilia Tuareg 660 and also my Oxford Super Muffs... they look horrible, but they keep my hands toasty warm, so keep me riding that bit further into winter! :-)

I hope you get well soon. Isn't it too early to camp anyway? Over here the nights are still below freezing.
And they are chicken eggs, just colored with onion peels. Natural and traditional way of decorating :)

I think the chaps were cold overnight with frost in the mornings where they were... looked like some great trail riding though.
Ahh cool... Much healthier than chocolate. My Grandma sometimes would blow eggs, to get them out the shell without cracking them, and then would fill them with melted chocolate, and paint the shells. I like the use of onion skin to decorate them.
