Do you believe there is a sweet spot for vlog length ?

I like both those ideas!

FWIW, the music sections are very quick [<15s] and pertinent to the travels in the video. The one "music section" that's about 41s long is a timelapse of Max footage... I just posted a 40s #short on YT of it, because why not?

I'm still tinkering with the overall video... once it's in render-ready spec I'll have to make a decision. Scenic vs. Talking videos... that's an interesting way to do it.

HD - I agree, unless the music fits the video and isn't very long. I guess you skipped over the music in my Harley dealer ride videos? ;)

Also, there are definitely gonna be Chapters on this one so viewers can skip around.

I guess the hesitation to break it into multiple vids stems from my "Part 2" videos not doing nearly as well in AVD or View #s than the "Part 1" vids they go with.

Yeah, multi part videos, unless they are special, will always seem to suffer sadly. I guess if you look at how many folk watched the whole of the part 1, it would give you an idea of how many would be fully invested in a second part!

I do the same to videos made by big and small channels, so please don't take offence! :) but yup

No offense taken :D

That's a good stat to check ... how do you do that? I can see CTR and AVD, dips & spikes, but not a clearly-marked stat for how many watched the whole thing?

From the advice given here, I'm going to keep it as 1 video, with chapters, minimize pauses and music sections, and roll with it.

The fun part will be the intro, thumbnail, and title... I filmed a fun intro and tie into the first minute of me talking, but they are incongruous with the rest of the video LOL. I did not set out to do what I did, just go for a ride, but I wanted to film a specific intro and see how it came out.
