Bloomin well done Kap, that is a great amount of weight loss! And we are very glad to hear that Diabetes saved your life! :) When I stopped smoking, losing the "can't" from my vocabulary really helped! :)

Thank you! I never smoked or drank coffee so now that I lost the energy drinks and soda I stick to just water. I also only do 20-25g of carbs a day which really helped me drop it.

Really good going mate.
Before I left the royal Navy I injured my ankle, that was back in 2012 and at that point I really loved jogging, it was basically my goto fitness exercise, I felt great after every run and had so much energy. After the injury, that "can't" word re-entered my vocabulary, I am currently unable to run and it is something I really wish I could get back into, but one 5km run will have me hobbling around all week and gives my ankle and lower leg night aches. I should try some lower impact CV, but jogging/running was really the only exercise I enjoyed. Dirt bikes help though, so currently they are my exercise, even if less often than I'd choose! :D

Well done. Diabetes is certainly something needing very close control by sufferers.

A mate of mine's son was a moderator on one of the big motorbike forums over here - which is how I knew him.
At the time I wasn't even aware of the relationship!

He was killed on a ride when he went off the road, apparently having had a diabetic episode.
R.I.P. Bucko.

Damn! I am sorry to hear that and sorry for the loss of your friend. Luckily I haven't had any sort of episodes but definitely something that is always in the back of my head.
