.... from winter gloves to summer gloves?

Do you wait until a set date? a set average temp? play it by ear? or do you wear the same gloves all year round?

I really rate my winter gloves but love getting to that point in the biking calendar where I can switch.

I tend to hang up the winter gloves at the end of March (although they are also my waterproof gloves so do come out when it rains still).

Here in SA the weather tends to be nice year round (with the exception of winter mornings around 04:00)

I try to use summer gloves as long as possible. i like the feel of them versus winter gloves.

I'll probably rock the winter gloves until it gets up to like 65-70 degrees F on average, I imagine. Right now we're lucky to get over 50.

I only wear winterish gloves if its below 40 degrees F anything above that I'm in summer gloves. I work a lot in the cold so the lower temps don't bother me.

I ride my summer gloves, most of the time.
But if its a long journey ill put my gauntlets on. They arent full winter proof however, as i struggle to bend my fingers in the full waterproof heavies.
usually carry my summer gloves with me, as when i get off the motorway or dual carriageway and pull over, ill switch to the summer gloves for what i call shreddin the roads :)

For my daily commute I've already switched as my winter gloves are my rain gloves but am def still sticking with the summer gloves when out playing (unless it is raining)

I wear mesh riding gloves (they'er really not that great) most of the year, then switch to winter gloves when I hands say 'no más!' during my late Fall or early Winter commutes. I'm going to get a better pair of riding gloves and a new riding jacket soon.

My Summer & Winter gloves are with me every time i get on the bike. You cannot leave a pair at home. Especially in the UK. I really need to set my heated gloves up before October comes around because the temp will drop a lot by then........I hate this country's weather, i really do.

I use the same gear all year round. Same boots, same textiles, same leather gloves. Do get a little warm in the summer and sometimes in the winter but for the most part I'm about right all year round

10C. I have hand deflectors, no heated grips, and this seems to be the temperature at which my summer gloves can function and keep my fingers comfortable (and working...:)

I dont have winter and summer gloves.. I wear my alpine stars gauntlets year round... they offer the most protection and go OVER my jacket, which I believe is important.. to each their own but I only ride with full protection. I also dont commute on my bike I only ride for pleasure. I live in LA and commuting on a motorcycle is very dangerous

Used my all weather gloves shortly and then jumped back to my summer gloves.

For me it has to do with temps and not seasons,
John Baker gloves come out about 75F and above
Dragon Slayer gloves are for 60 to 74F
H-D heated gloves are for 40 to 59F
Cabella's Snowmobile gloves are for 19 to 39F

Rain cover gloves - rain except the Cabellas are waterproof already.

WOW, that is a lot of gloves! Makes sense though when you have such a variety of temperatures to ride in! :)
