I'm sure most of us ride alone or maybe I'm wrong haha. Which do you guys prefer? I like to ride alone most of the time. I'm very picky with who I ride with.

I do ride with a few mates, but much prefer riding by myself. Its nice to ride with people, but sometimes you just want to stop to smell the roses.

I really enjoy riding in small groups with mates, but I ride alone mostly and generally prefer to do so.

I'm mostly alone or two up with either my son or wife. I ride with other spyders once a month and I've gone a couple times with motorcycle friends. It is fun pulling up somewhere with a bunch of riders though :)

I see. safe to say most of us ride alone and do group rides a couple times per month. That sounds pleasant to have family or your significant other ride with you.

Mostly by myself. There is a small group of us that meet up on a Wednesday night and go out on a ride every now and again.

I often feel weird going to a place by myself, like riding somewhere far to eat breakfast by yourself. But this is actually quite popular, we have a biker pub/restuarant (The Smokin Aces if your interested) here and I swear every sunday its more individual bikers than groups.

More often that not I ride alone but quite enjoy riding with trusted buddies too. Problem with larger groups is you always get someone trying to show off which inevitably ends in some sort of grieve.

I absolutely understand. It's a shame that some can't just ride to enjoy the ride.

In California (Bay Area specifically), we have a place called Alice's Restaurant which is similar to your pub which is a meet for many bikers. The best part is that we get a really scenic ride. Where are you from?

I must say, when i ride by myself i can ride for hours without any need for a break or something to eat.
So normally i don't stop and eat somewhere solo.

When riding with a group a pitstop to eat is often more needed and appreciated.
Maybe it is a social thing. Or maybe riding with a group is a bit more exhausting ;)

Last year on my club trip to Germany I had to get back a day early for my girl's birthday, 600 miles by my self seemed to go easy- you get in the zone on your own.
On a group ride you can spend a lot of time herding people together and waiting for the tail end of the group to catch up.

Both good in their own ways.

Yes, california has many scenic rides and back roads. There are a ton of forests and mountain riding. We also have a ride next to the coast (Pacific Ocean). If you have the chance, make a trip out here and see it for yourself!

I want to ride with others but ride almost exclusively solo.

The best part about riding solo is going at your own pace and stopping whenever you want to! Group is fun but only if they have the same mentality as you. You know how some riders get.
