Here is my helmet setup. My helmet is the Scorpion R420 with a red, black, and white graphic design. I have a GoPro Hero 7 Black and I have mounted it on the side because my helmet doesn't allow for a front mount. On the top I have a solar powered power bank that constantly charges the GoPro as long as there's sunlight getting to it. I record all of my videos in 1080 60FPS with hypersmooth stabilization.

How are you recording your in helmet audio? I had issues using the Hero 7 Black on a powerbank and recording in helmet audio, works fine on my 5 Session, but the 6 and the 7 didn't like it!
Doesn't the mic adaptor flap about in the airflow? Be careful it doesn't damage the GoPro connector in the camera! :)

I have my microphone wires all inside of my helmet and the part that plugs into the adapter sticks out and plugs into the camera. As for the adapter flapping around, it may look like it flaps around, but it’s actually really right fit because the power cord holds it in place. You may have a TRRS microphone which means it has 3 black lines on the plug thing. What you need is a TRS microphone. I personally use he purple panda microphone because it comes with all sorts of adapters for it and it works well with the hero 7. I hope that helps and if it doesn’t just let me know and I’ll help out some more!

Nah, my issue was the camera didn't like having external power and an external microphone plugged into the mic adapter, caused tge camera to have a bit of a melt down and even had to reinstall the firmware on the 6 as it wasn't happy.
Glad you are not having any issues with your set up, it does look like you are putting stress on the connection going into the camera though!

Ah ok. It must have just been a bug with the firmware because I'm not having any problems. The only problem I had was that the GoPro would randomly stop recording, but I later figured out it was because I had voice commands on and everytime I mentioned recording it would stop recording.
