Right, so as the title says, how many videos of a channel do you watch, before you subscribe? And what other criteria do you use, even if not consciously, when making the decision weather to sub or not.
The reason why I started pondering over this, is that I have sometimes come across a good, interesting video, but rest of the channel has nothing to offer (for me, at least). And I am not talking about only motovlogs.
I usually watch 3-10 videos, before deciding. And also I check when were the last few videos posted, and how regularly the videos are being posted. I don't really care if you only post 3 videos a year, but if the content interests me and there is consistent posting, I'll add it.

I'll sub after one vid if it entertains me enough to want to return to their channel. But I'll also unsub if they put out a lot of content that annoys me as I don't have enough time in the day to waste it watching stuff I don't find entertaining on the off chance they have posted something I do like. I do sub to vloggers that put out content I don't enjoy, but only those that title their vids in a way that allows me to see which ones are of interest and which are not (I don't really like music-motovlogs for example but do enjoy motovlogs which have in helmet audio).

If it doesn't look like the creator posts very often I'll probs not sub either as no real point if they are not committed to making videos.

You bring up a good point. I have hard time unsubscribing, because of good memories, from past content. I believe 1/4 of channels I've subscribed to, have not uploaded much for the past couple of years. And I still can't bring myself to unsubscribing. But when someone posts constantly something I don't like, that sure helps me to click the button quicker.

I will watch a couple and see about the style. Too much hooligan stuff and I will pass. Don't even think about acting an arse to cops whether they deserve it or not.

I look for someone who is genuine. I really enjoy newer riders and folks trying to find their voice in motovlogging. Both are refreshing at times.

If someone has not posted in 4 months, I will unsubscribe.

@HippoDrone, you are going to LOVE my 2017 montages. I did random clips that go in an out of a rainy ride home one evening to reflect thinking back over the past year. I even added some mood music to set the pace so give it a bit.

For me it varies. Sometimes if they can make a really good video I'll sub straight away. But usually I go in and watch a few other vids. As for unsubbing if I don't watch many of their videos that appear in my sub box for a while than I'll un sub.

For me it is pretty similar to you, I look for some genuine video.
If I like the style I will sub, nut I usually take a couple vids to hit that button.

Not too interested in the hooligan side.

As for un-subbing, once I have subbed I generally dont un-sub

I'll sub easily, but don't burn me if I don't watch all the vids, I'm not always lurking on YT to watch vids. But if someone starts spamming annoying stuff frequently then I'll not hesitate to un-sub. In the grand scheme of things losing and gaining a sub here and there is not a big deal.

I guess you could say, I'm the kind of guy that is hard to hook, but hard to lose.

I'll probably sub after watching 10-20 videos recommended to me by algorithm or just browsing the channel page over a month or so and liking what I see.

But I rarely if ever unsub at all. Hell I'm still subbed to creators that have gone MIA for years hoping they'll come back, and sometimes they do.
