Yep... I spoke to my local Kawasaki sales man that sold about 80 in the last decade and only 2 exploded - his 7 years ago and mine but a local bike racing specialist said it's very common among racers so if you constantly ride it hard it could explode any day now

I imagine thats just 2 that he knows of, there may be more? Doesn't seem like good reliability if at least 2.5% of all bikes randomly blow up.

I don't ride it hard constantly, but on nice roads it gets a workout

if you want to base it on statistics that's one every 7 years sooo you have at least another 6 years to go
