Ah oh well. Looks like it's another 30 bucks or so gone a pair.
And I still gotta fix my front left indicator.
Broke my right wing mirror too. But I can do without that since I got a smaller one underneath it that's intact.
Yea, that's true, I'll get another pair.Yeah, but let's say this happens again would you rather $30 or a new swingarm Bill? I know it sucks man but see the bigger picture
Is the indie smashed off or just not blinking?
Maybe a cheap and cheerful eBay job for the mirrors if it doesn't work out.
Yea, that's true, I'll get another pair.
The indi still blinks, but the thing got smashed and is hanging by the wires.
Top crash bobbins would probably be my bar endsAh okay, grab an eBay set man - do you have crash bobbins up top?
Hopefully the engine casing isn't looking like it got attacked by a cheese grater?
Top crash bobbins would probably be my bar ends.
It's just that the DRZ's indicators are not held by a flexible rubber jacket, but a solid plastic housing. Hence a slight bump would crack that shit.
My engine casing wasn't even touched since I had the axle sliders and a very long handlebar with thick bar ends on.
Yea, I might wanna ask my mechanic if they have any rubber type indicators to replace these.Ah okay, maybe something in the middle if the Tarmac brushes the plastics lol
That's a stupid design for a DRZ, my KTM's are rubber, maybe get some rubber style?
Silver lining then about the casing man! Could of been worse buddy at the end of the day
Yea, I might wanna ask my mechanic if they have any rubber type indicators to replace these.
BT016 i think. What Kind of tires are you running?
Sliders were made to the thrashed, I wouldn't try bending it back into position, if you feel you can live with a bent slider on your bike it should be OK, but know that it is weaker because of the impact and may not function well in case of a future tumble.
Any photos of the slider?
I'll pull it off when I'm free and see if it's an external rod that can be hammered back into shape. If you take it off and reinstall it you should be able to get it stright. It's probly nothing bent. They usually have a little cone that is pulled into it and expands it.
