just wondering if anyone knows a good way to make a gopro skeleton housing watertight when the external mic is plugged in ? now the weather is getting bad I still want to vlogg in the wet

I bought some "NO More Nails" silicone type stuff tonight and am going to try that.

I currently take an 'unmodified' case with me when the weather doesn't look the best .... and just switch the camera over to the waterproof case should the weather turn nasty.

Did you manage to try the 'No More Nails' solution? If so, how did that work out?

I'm curious to see it too, because permanently gluing your USB connection into the shell will mean you can never remove your camera!
I didn't even think of that :P Unless he could somehow use it in a way that leaves a bit of space to remove the headphone jack

Can you charge the gopro's from another jack at all? or would you have to pop the battery out and use a desktop charger?

Sugru is a great option for waterproofing. It is flexible like rubber once dry. If you mould it right it may just act like a plug when you plug your mic in.
