Sena 10c - I Think I'lll Get This!

I think future generations of this will definitely be worth looking at. An integrated recording and comm's system is the golden mark for me.

Shame it's going to get your helmet in the shot though :P ;)
 
I know, I'm kidding.

The claimed 1h30m battery life is a bit pants though, especially as you don't appear to be able to replace the battery.

I think in a few generations this will be the go-to kit for vlogging unless they really mess it up. I am definitely not being an early adopter though.
 
That is pretty cool. I bet the cost will be outrageous compared to better cameras such as drift or gopro
 
Hey guys, Im using the Sena 10C for my motovlogging. I do have a gopro Hero 4 Silver at the side but.. I find this more convenient.

Price wise: Not cheap. But cheaper than gopro plus whatever mic setup you have in mind.

Battery Life: Has yet to die on me while recording. But I do have the habit to charge it while Im at work. So I dont really feel the pinch.

But the truth be said, I think its better to wait for a newer model and not be an early adopter like me.. They do have some issue to iron out.

Go on a 4+ hour ride and report back with the results. I went with the 20s + GoPro bacpac because of all the negative reviews about battery life, image quality, etc. I'll probably pick up the next iteration when they go 30p+ 4k.
 
That looks hella cool. $349 to buy direct online, which is pretty competitive. I agree about battery life, but most of my vlogs are on 30 minute trips, so it would work for me.

After seeing footage, I think it'd be a great all-in-one starter kit for people getting into vlogging, but the image quality isn't great. Very grainy on a sunny day, but the audio is okay.

Very true. I just prefer it for my daily rides got I can just unplug it and put it in my pocket when Ive reached my location.

Still.. its not perfect. If you already have a 20S and gopro.. best to stick to them. People love to see the vids with the awesome quality gopro delivers.

Just my 5 cents.

Like you said before, it will be cool to see if they improve on it. If they can get the 1080/30 to look crisp and sound on par with the 20s they could really be a contender.
 
I think the first iteration is nice but I'll wait to see what comes down the line. I personally like the view from my chin mounted GoPro. I thought it was interesting that at least one, and I assume other well followed motovloggers, were given a test unit. I'm using the Hero 4 black, GP10 and Sena 20S setup now and I really like it that way.

I think one huge advantage to this new setup from Sena is the weight factor. It has to weigh less than my current setup which gets noticeable after awhile.
 
Might be because I mounted my 10c farther forward than what is normal, but I don't see more than a sliver of my chinguard in my video footage. The quality isn't up to gopro standard, but it's not a potato cam either. I'm pretty satisfied so far.
