YouTube playback problem

Is anyone else experiencing problems with YouTube? I have good internet so I know it's not that. YouTube will load the first 15 seconds or so, and then just stop. I have to keep clicking on the grey bar to play a whole video. It's not every video though, just random ones. If I click on a link in Reddit, it'll sign me out of Google+ and I definitely won't get to watch more than 15 seconds of a video. But if I search for the video name in YouTube, it'll load fully 75% of the time. It's ridiculous. I have written this whole post while a YouTube video is stuck in the background, and it's played another 3 seconds just then.

Ironically, I can watch YouTube embedded videos without problem on other sites.

On a side note, I've signed in to Google+ about 16 times so far in the last hour without ever closing the browser.

it happens a lot lately. everything seems to be glitchy. i clicked a video last night and it played the audio of the video while still on the home page for 30 seconds before it loaded the video page... youtube needs better programmers and people running it who care about quality like it was a couple months ago

Well ... It's getting close to Xmas eh? .... Obviously the 9V batteries that power the servers are getting a little lazy!! .... Hopefully they go to the store soon and get fresh ones for the holidays!

They keep releasing new players almost every other day. This is transparent to the users, until something doesn't work.
Then sometimes they fix it or it may keep failing. There's nothing to do but wait until they fix it.

I haven't had this particular problem yet but I had another where the player will keep switching resolutions and greying out every resolution tried until none is left then it will crash with "An error occurred, please try again later".

I had the same thing over the last few days, almost all vids were freezing. I have a rock solid fast connection and all other video sites work fine so I knew it was an error at youtube's end. As mentioned above, they roll out the changes behind the scenes and it messes stuff up for a while then hopefully gets fixed.

I just kept right-clicking every video I watched and sending a Playback Error report to them for each one! If everyone did that for every video they watched, then youtube might get the hint we dont like it when they fuck about with the website!

if i was going to be my 'having a bad day' cynical bastard self .... i'd reckon that foreign investor interest coughsneakychinesegovernmentprickscough!! .... had 'forced' YT to make changes 'just because' .. and thereby mess with the western ideology of instant access to everything ... :roll:

or could be with the world economy still being crapola (really) .. the bosses at YT left upgrades to wait so shareholders could still have nice dividends?? ... and now its splitting at the seams and they are having to play catchup? ...

or... some spotty sweaty new team of coders got waaaaaay too excited after a WOW gaming night , with over fermented pepperoni on the pizzas creating delusions and visions .. and just decided to keep on jamming new plugins into the system to 'see what works!!' ...

maybe they have just decided to forgo beta testing anymore and coding clashes are left to have some runtime just in case they resolve themselves?

maybe Skynet is awakening .. (you know that first 20 seconds after you wake up sometimes? .. when you just know that you are there .. but have no idea what or when or where anything else is?) ... and pretty soon its going to be grumpy cos it just realised it forgot to buy coffee at the shops yesterday! :lol:
