Youtube Dislikes Without Watching

I noticed that a person or persons "dislikes" some of my videos. I can also see that they don't watch them? As I don't have many subscribers it's easy to corrolate with view times? Is that normal?

Yeh its pretty normal. You'll pick up 'haters' along the way, its just the way youtube is. Dislikes aren't really a very good way of gauging if your content is good or not anyway as its so easy to just click as soon as you say or do something that someone doesn't like. I wouldn't let it get to you, just concentrate on view numbers, subs, watch times etc. to see what videos are engaging or not.

Also, dislikes don't have an effect on how many people will be able to find your video. They don't push it down a search list, if anything they actually help views by flagging it up as a talked about video.

Pretty much YouTube has some funny characters on it, but there are also some cool people there, just ignore the negative folks and keep posting

It's true! Getting a dislike is actually better than getting ignored, as far as YouTube's algorithms are concerned.

I'll play Devil's advocate and say that it is possible that your content may be genuinely not liked by a viewer. This could be due to personal taste or it is possible to be "not good" or at the very least have room for improvement. Hopefully in the latter case you will receive constructive criticism.

Why would one person dislike ALL videos. Dislike one or two then unsub/stop watching.

My friend dislikes all my videos because he says the balance needs to be kept in check. If I don't see a dislike I will scold him for not disliking the video.

He's trying to keep your ego in check......yet your ego sees it as a complement either way and wants more.... dear god! Your ego is a monster!!
