Youtube channel art?

Hi guys, just upgraded my channel to the new layout and its asking me for a channel art?!?!?
Was just wondering how you guys came up with an idea for yours or what you used etc? Because right now i have no idea what to do for mine, not even got an idea of how to do it tbh haha.

Any ideas?

To be honest mate its crap. I've had it on that setting for about 3 weeks and just reverted to original layout today. All it gives you is a header... the layout is confusing and has no background colour.

Wasn't that big a deal for me as I'm used to cramming stuff into small banners for forum sigs and the like. I'll agree that it doesn't give you much creative space, but we don't make the rules, YouTube does, and we might as well just switch over and get used to it. They're going to force it anyhow.

Just think about what you've got in your current setup and try and translate that into something long and skinny. Good luck.

I made some banners for my missus and a few friends, relatively simple designs. Not much room to work with, plus they're aimed more at ipads and iphones so they don't need to be amazingly detailed.
