You Tube not sending notifications of new uploads

As per the title of this thread - You Tube is not notifying me when my subscriptions upload a new video. I checked my settings, and I do have that part selected. Is there something else I need to re-set, or is this just You Tube screwing up?

I only occasionally get emails from YT and they're for batches of videos. Maybe a weekly digest? I've got several people that it should notify me for, but it never has.
