It's not about what we will get, it's what members can get from it
Everyone likes to get subs, views blah blah but it's quite hard to build those up, so motovlog can help with that
However, there needs to be something that stops people signing up just to post videos etc.
p.s it's not a mailing list, it's sharing some of the best videos that get posted on this forum

I've just had a quick read of this thread.. The Top 5 Videos idea sounds pretty good, but I think a few rules should apply to be featured, for e.g. - You must mention motovlog in your next video - You must have at least 100 messages/posts/replies on this website (shows your an active member and not just a channel building seeker) - And a few others which I can't think of right now.
Process of chosing Top 5 Vids should be done by setting up a poll from the 3rd week of the month until the last day before the next month (so Februarys top 5 - set up poll before 23rd January, let it run for 7 days and then select top 5 and promote them on the Forum home page)
Advantages of this:
- Motovlog will be promoted on 5 videos monthly
- 5 different vloggers will be promoted monthly
- Smaller channels can be boosted (subs and views) just as much as a bigger channel
- In my eyes, its a win win situation
Disadvantages:
- Smaller channels may get a big promotion but return a smaller favour.. visa versa for bigger channels

This idea can also potentially encourage less frequent members to return at least once a month to check out the videos, this making this forum more active.

I took over the forum a month or so ago. I revamped the software as it was shit quite frankly.
Mods come and go I'm afraid, but I'm not going anywhere
It's still early days of the revamp but its working very well

Sounds good, but this rule might not work. On this topic there's 4 people with over 100 messages, might be a bit difficult to get 5 new members to feature every month...

As others have said, the email sent out would basically be to us. The vloggers and most of us are subscribe to each other anyhow but how much do we know about each other? Why not do a featured post, featured videos and finally each month do a featured vlogger. A small interview with one vlogger each month. Now that could be interesting. No video just text and images.

Even as a video that could work, have a set number of questions and who ever is chosen to do the interview answers them in their next vlog video.. The video should be uploaded here and on the interviewee's youtube account. I think it would work, great idea
