My personal rule is they have have a valid point and not be insulting to anyone. So no personal attacks. I have seen a couple of those.

Yes, Columbus was pretty terrible for the indigenous poeple of the Americas, but the historical significance of the events that shaped our history are still worth learning about. Knowing what happened is better than forgetting or ignoring what happened. You can't learn from forced or feigned ignorance.

I have had a few trolls as of late but most of them ened up deleting their own comments after I reply, which is a shame. One of them specifically was very entertaining. Going to screenshot them from now on.
