Well unfortunately I can't vouch for the other riders who crashed, but I certainly hope they are all okay, heal up and get back on a bike as soon as they can. I know my crash (two weeks ago) was because I made several major mistakes, including pushing my limits and end up taking a pretty good tumble. I plan on getting another bike soon as I can and this time, take my own advice on the limit thing and slow down when on twisties. Lesson learned.

Whilst I don't entirely agree with Tommy's comment about "true bikers", as I don't believe there to be such a thing, I do think that those who get back on a bike after a big'un have rather large testicles; and as such, should be congratulated on their genitally steel possessions.

I've had two big accidents since I started riding 3 year ago, neither of which were my fault, and I've learnt a few things for sure. One of which is that I would desperately like to keep a bike for a total more than 1 year. Having to replace them over and over again is becoming tiresome. I had the Fazer for 7 months, the SV for 9 and the Trumpet for 4; quite absurd when you think about it.

Ohhh and Bonny boy; you really don't want to know what it's like to come off on the road. Stick to the mud; it's more comfortable.

Don't feel like it's just the vloggers that are crashing. A guy I work with who has been riding for many years went down a couple weeks ago on the highway. He's fine, which is especially surprising considering he was wearing a halfie.

trust me im sticking to the dirt, still broken my thigh bone, shoulder, wrists and nose on it though! my old man used to race classic motorcycles and has broken nearly every bone in his body. shoulda seen my mums face when i said i wanted to try it ;D

from my viewpoint of racing motocross and enduro for 12 years crashes are nothing unless you get broken, but i sort of wish i knew what it is like to come off on the road, if you get what i mean?

Trust me it's overrated!

I did a cart-wheel once after hitting a child who came running out between two vans in traffic facing the opposite direction... laying with a bike on me in the lane of the on-coming traffic was fun... shame nobody thought to help me out, or take a photo I'd personally give that a miss... makes for crap riding.

I feel here is the appropriate place to post this:

No, I don't consider myself to be a "true biker" now. I picked the bike up, took down some details and went home.
The only lesson I learned from this is that no matter how many observations you do and how prepared you are for an accident, the only think you can do is minimalise damage.
Managed to slow down from 40mph to around 15 and hit the very front of the car rather than the side thanks to forward planning, not panicking and skills picked up from previous experiences.
