YAY... they've gone mainstream!!!

I'be known about these things for a while. Quite a few people made there own :)

I however couldn't be bothered and awaited a product release :D

That's what we need, people riding around with a camera swinging around in their view. Sounds like a great distraction to me.

Having a camera on and talking to yourself is a big enough distraction as it is. I can't imaging turning myself into a Go Pro helicopter and riding down the road. You do get some interesting shots though

According to their website, you need two GoPros to get it to work, in order to balance it evenly. How hard would it be for them to include a small weight for one end equal to the standard GoPro's weight?

Watching the footage makes me want one, but seeing one actually mounted on someone makes me not. It looks fricking huge, not to mention slightly stupid.

Also, it's €300 for basically a broom handle on a hinge.

I reckon you could make one of those pretty easilly with some carbon fibre tube... that's if you wanted somthing that looks that rediculous spinning around in front of your face while you ride...

So build a counter weight that has the same profile as a gopro. It's not very difficult and could be done for a LOT less than the price of another camera. hell, just sell the thing with a gopro case with a few ounces of lead shot in it. That'd be a whole lot cheaper for sure...

Requiring 2 cameras is the easy to produce, cheap for the company, way to do it. Nevermind actually putting out a viable product that's easily afforded by your prospective clientele.

Yeah, Navythomas8 has been doing a bunch of test videos of his own similar fabrication:

I suppose you could ask him, if you have any questions.

**EDIT**

Wait, wait... This is the video I meant to post:

I am not sure about this, it looks just like a big distraction to me. Another thing to pay attention to when riding.

So CNC same shape out of aluminium, drill holes in it if too heavy, drill holes in it and fill with heavier metal if too light.

Either way, considering it doesn't actually come with a camera, the price is ridiculous. If they provided the weight, they'd probably up the price another €100

Have always thought vlogging takes concentration off the road
But these... Well, I dont think they should be used on public roads. They can easily get caught in trees/cars when turning your head to the side etc etc, and look as though they can easily cause an accident.
A camera on the side of your helmet is fine, you cant see it and forget its there, but one swinging around your head? Good shots, but should only be used offroad imo
