When You Set Up Your Vlogging Facebook Page...

Me again! I am sure I will have some questions on this since I already have one and it's after only a few clicks!!

What did y'all set your facebook page up as? I guess the obvious choice out of the 6 choices it gives would be "Artist, Band or Public Figure" and the "Blogger" ? Did anyone else choose different?

I am sure more questions will come soon and with the recent purge of "fake name" accounts I saw the thread for I figure others may have facebook page questions as well

I wonder if it allows for different features depending on the choice or if it simply asks so it can display this choice on the page somewhere...

I guess entertainer does work better now that i think of it, i mean we do blog/vlog but if we sat indoors and spoke to the camera would people still watch? haha i think the fact that you get to watch a moto vid and listen to a vlog is what makes it entertaining ! And therefor i think ill choose entertainer also unless anyone chimes in to stop me! lol

Ok I am now at the point where it asks you about your " Preferred Page Audience"... did anyone narrow the focus by adding motorcycles or video blog to the list of interests? or did you skip that part?

Mine says "Author" but that's because it's just my page and not for vlogging specifically. I do post my vlogs on there, though.

Thanks Clint! I went with entertainer although i agree with Mr. Fish that may be a stretch but i liked it better the blogger, public figure, or fictional character or the other options lol

That's one reason why I deleted my channel. I got pigeon holed into just a bloke on a bike

I made mine Entertainer and narrowed the focus reach or whatever to people with interest in motorcycles and video blogs - but the interests can be changed - i dont think the entertainer part can be changed afterwards

I don't mind being called a motovlogger when i finally am one hahah but I did want my channel to have some occational mnt bike or kayak or snow board etc so i called myself Ramblin'Rider (it was going to be Ramblin'Moto till the last minute)

Entertainer here too. Although I think I did the right thing in NOT trying to set up a page as a person (as many have done and been deleted for) the page is useless in many ways - can't join groups or other people's events. If I want to take part in a group I have to do so as my personal FB profile - or share a Captain Cranky post via my personal profile.

I settled on Entertainer. I cannot remember the exact reason why, if there was a motovlogger choice i'd have selected that!
