I saw a younger guy in a grocery store with a dapper looking mustache. We exchanged the "knowing" nod. Very secretly of course.

Its a bit different with large beards. The more manicured it looks, the less I am likely to acknowledge that person. But if its got food or better yet a bird in it, we're best friends - even just a for a moment or two!

Back pre-pandemic when I worked in an office building I could often be seen riding around at lunch with some adventurous female on the back of my bike.

My favorite was back in 2003 when one lady commented as we zipped along the downtown Nashvile streets, "Oh! There goes my husband driving the other way."
