When Bikers Meet Murphy

SM26

Supermoto isn't just a bike, it's a way of life
Hello!

While waiting for the Sunny bear, I've started a new series of some sort
It's called "When bikers meet Murphy"
and in this series, each motovlogers tells a story about Murphy's law (what ever can go wrong, will go wrong) in relation to motorcycling and motovloging.

The main difference is that The Sunny Bear is a competition and mine is just a plain collaboration of motovlogers (no winners, no prizes).

so far, we are two motovlogers, me - SM26
And a friend of mine with a MT-09 named - ThaLoneTLVninja

If you want, you are more than welcome to join us!
just let me know, and I will add you as a contributor to our series playlist
we post a new video every Sunday, so... the more participants there are, the longer time you have until your next video.

The playlist can be viewd here:
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLuIRBQ86UBGwFP2qOX6GMtn0BJGn7ue5S

and here are the rules to take part:
1. each video must contain a link to this playlist
(https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLuIRBQ86UBGwFP2qOX6GMtn0BJGn7ue5S)
2. a video must be between 5 and 15 minutes long.
3. in your video, you must comment about the last story in the playlist
4. keep it real, not false or made up stories.
5. English only (you may add subtitles in different language if you wish)

(aapproved in a PM by Lurch)

have you seen the new videos?
I would really love it if some one will join in!

Let me make sure I have this straight.

We upload a video to our channel, put a link to your playlist, mention the story in the last video in the playlist, and then tell our story?

Does our video end up in the playlist? I'm just not sure I'm following properly here. I think I have a great story but don't want to flub on rules.

You got it all right to the letter.

How do we submit our video?
Just have it ready by this Sunday and post your link here.
I'll add it you to the playlist, and I'll give you admin rights over the playlist via PM.

If Sunday is too soon, please tell me in advance.
Glad you are on board with us

Out of curiosity...how strict is the 5-15 minute rule?
more of a general guide line than a rule.

it's just that a video that is shorter than 5 minutes is often seems as that not much effort is put into it
and a video that is longer than 15 minutes is usually boring to watch (it's a motovlog, not a GOT episode)

but 4 and a half minute is fine
and 16 minutes long is also fine

as long as you think that you video is good enough, it's probably good enough haha

Ok, I think i can make it, but realized I had almost 45 minutes of footage. I know the 10% rule may apply and I know I have some pauses and stuff to take out. But because it's a story I know well and have told a few times, I may have a bit longer a story. I'm also hoping I commented on the right video in the playlist (dropping Ninja300 on the way to work). If not, I'll record another greeting.

Hopefully I can get it in on time. My current movie project had a simple little funny gimmick that turned into a lot of tedious work (not helped by the fact that I messed up and missed a couple things, causing me to have to shift 122 clips and their corresponding sound effects)...

45 minutes is wayyy to long.
nobody will ever watch it.
please try to keep it under 20 minutes (intro, outro, credit and commenting about the ninja300 video not included.)

Oh yeah, of course :)

That's just what I have to work with to begin with. I'm sure I have enough pauses alone to reduce it to 25 mins at the most. Then the real work of seperating the wheat from the chaff start.

Hey man
Do you think you would make it in time?
or should I make my own video and you will be up next week?

I just finished the video I was working on for this week. I wouldn't have anything worth uploading ready for tomorrow.

I'm going to shoot for next week. I will work on that next

You're up Buddy!

Video is currently under production, also on pace to meet deadline, though will have to re-record the shoutout for the video, and I have a really really really bad throwback rap that I'm thinking or re-recording on my way home today. Hopefully I get a decent take on that.

So, intro/outro(endcard section) and mentioning the prev video (plus my "awesome" rap cold open) is coming in, all inclusive at 20:00:03 (and one frame).

It's a little rambly, but I'm liking it.

I'm exporting my review copy, and I'll spend some time making sure I can stand it over the next couple days.

That said...it will be there by sunday, or earlier if you want.

Sunday would be great.
Just post to link Here and I'll add it to the playlist.

Really can't want to see it
