Whats Your Headset/audio Setup For Music/calls?

Just wondering what you guys are rocking on the side of your helmets?


Do any of you even own bluetooth helmets (no 3rd party BT mod)?
 
I run a Sena 20s.

I have a freind whos mom just got the sena half helmet, not sure how well it works yet though. Hope to hear from him soon.

I'm on a 'budgety' headset by FreedConn, below 60 bux but it seems to hold the battery life pretty well as well as sounds pretty decent for my very rare phone calls but everyday music

Likewise. It's a pain in the ass. On a bike, you have to fiddle with speakers in the helmet, fiddle with a mount to hold your player or whatever, and then you'd have to stop and take off your gloves whenever you wanna change the song or volume. Puh, couldn't be bothered when it only takes me 15 minutes on my daily commute. Probably wouldn't bother either if I was touring.

In a car, you turn the ignition on and it starts playing and all the controls for the player are on my steering wheel that I don't even need to look down to change the volume or song.
 
Been using a smh10r for some time now. Wouldn't consider riding with out it now.

Proper voice control would be nice though.

hmmm, in my case i just turn on the headset on my helmet. It automatically connects to my iPhone. I hit the play button on the headset and it starts playing. Want next song? flip the knob CW, want previous - CCW. Want pause? Hit the button. Louder? Flip and hold knob CW, etc. I usually have a playlist for the day of the songs I wanna listen to. I just cue it and laeve the phone inside my pocket throughout the ride, never reaching for it.

In my case I don't enjoy the ride for the most part if there is no music. Standing at red lights and in traffic is not fun without music. I didn't start really enjoying riding until I started listening to music. To each their own I guess
 
I use a cheap chinese headset BT-S2 so far works good for calls and music. Very loud and cheap. Not perfect but can't argue with $35 shipped. It also sports an FM radio (which is bad), and intercom.
 
I use the old Sena SMH10. I'm thinking of upgrading to the 20s but I'm not sure if it's worth the money right now. The SMH10 works fine but when I first turn it on it seems to fade in and out for the first minute or two.
 
I have a SMH-10. I've tried listening to music but the speakers are kinda crap and I can't hear the music well at speed. I also don't love the idea of riding while listening to music (I don't want to be distracted or unable to hear everything).

It's been great for riding with my buddy, though. It's made for some funny vlog fodder, as well. I just got the bluetooth pack that will allow me to record his audio on the gopro too, so that will make editing much easier.
 
I currently have the 20s and love it. It's loud, easy to adjust and great for phone calls. I see you mentioned you're on a budget. I've dealt with a cheaper audio device and thought it was ok until I upgraded to the SENA. Its all up to you and your budget.
 
Actually since people posted here again here's an UPDATE: I went with a 50 dollar BT COMM, by FreeConn (available on Amazon). It's been pretty OK. I like listening to music on my phone for the most part. I don't really talk to much no the BT (people that I might very rarely ride dont have any BT comms) and for phone calls it works just fine.

So for a solo rider like me, who wants to listen to music, this is a good option imho.
 
I have a Sena 20S. To listen to music, I hit a button and say "Music" and it starts playing the songs on my phone. I'm an audiophile, so instead of using the built in speakers, I use Etynomic ER4SR in ear headphones, which sound fantastic. The GPS is hooked up to the 20S also. Over all it's an excellent system.
 
I have a pair of units branded as Buyee they are rebranded T-COM units.

We're 120$ for a pair. Mic cancels noise well, speakers sound pretty good and can hear at highway speeds if not great.

I only really listen to music on long trips or when I'm rapping an intro to my motovlog.
 
Sena 20s on the left side of both gf's and my own lid. The mic is fixed in place directly in front of mouth. The speakers are fixed directly next to ear positions.

Ghost 4K on right side of both lids. The external mic connection runs into lid and then the mic is fixed next to one of the Sena's speakers. This way, the Ghost cam records audio from me and gf at similar volume, so when editing the two video streams together I need only one audio track, and that eliminates transmission-lag echo.
