What's You Fav Beer!?

I drink Shiner Bock most of the time. But I won't shy away from other amber beers either. (I still enjoy my dutch beers, but they somehow taste different in the states).

Most Hefeweizen beers are right up my alley. Weihenstepahn, Franziskaner, Maisel's Weiss , Schneider Weisse et al. Nothing hoppy...ever.

I like dunkel versions of those beers as well. Have recently tried some of the Aventinus Schenider Weisse...jury is still out on that one.

I like a wide range of beers, but my all-time favorite so far is Stone Old Guardian. It's not a party beer. 11%ABV. It's one of those you pop after work and just mellow out on the couch while watching a good show. It's like liquid muscle relaxant. When I see it in stock, I clear out the shelf.

Triple IPAs and Barleywines are fantastic. I really need to start doing a weekly beer review.

I'm not so much a beer person anymore, but I always liked Paulaner Salvator. Chimay Grand Reserve, too. For American beer I like Stone Ruination IPA and Arrogant Bastard Oaked.

Lately if I drink, it' susually a Scotch or a Gin Martini.

Ruination 2.0 makes me sad. It's just not the same. Seems hard on my pallet in a bad way (think over-carbonated soda) rather than the good old smooth feel and extreme grapefruit bitterness.

Haha excellent topic. Enjoying beers is one of my fav activities. I think the one i prefer is a belgium beer called Westmale (pronounce vest mal he) it's a trappist beer and you can see a pic
