So how many posts do you think? 15 and be 7 days old?
We cannot answer that, make a number from checking the posts that a few active users here made in their first days.
Or maybe, even better, check the posts from some forum-shy users that aren't as active and they got high metrics on yt.
I think something like 10/5 would be ok. Or maybe something even smaller. It's not like spammers will be here for 5 days.

Anyone who wants to see their videos can very easily click their YT bookmark and run a quick search for their username as well.
Most new users don't show up on a YT search. If you tried to search yourself on the tubes when you first got your account, you probably found it takes weeks to get into the search results. It adds that new users often don't even have a custom name/URL for their channels.

They can spend a little time becoming part of the community first.
I agree, some people are just eager to spam their channel everywhere.

I see what you're saying but on the other hand
Someone who just signs up to post videos, isn't that also a spammer? Really if you think about it?
They sign up to gain something, not give right?

We already deal with that kind of messages and we're already educated to ignore them. Just look at the latest topics, "Post your videos here!" is the most ignored sub-forum.
Bunch of views, no replies. It's spamland.

By the way this link comes up in some search pages, "http://motovlog.com/post-your-vlogs-videos/", it goes nowhere

Yeah, >greentext

What I'm trying to say, we need a solution to automated spam, the kitchen stuff, we don't need to alienate all new users.
I'd like this to get bigger and be the meetup point of most if not all vloggers. Youtube's social interface is a mess right now so we need this to work and the new users to feel good here.
It's something like a tradition in other forums for all new users to go to the "Introductions" subforum and introduce themselves before posting anything. If they do post another non-introductory message, they get called by mods and pointed to the introductions forum.

Also, empty accounts needs to be pruned.
