I mean... are you detonating your kitchens with C4 every day? Why in the name of the Gods do you need so much advertising for cheap kitchens?

Because we have busy lives. I just spent an hour or so removing the posters. I don't really see a point in deleting the posts themselves, just makes the process take longer.
Mr AusAdventure said:So maybe the site should put on a few more mods in that case? I am sure that there must be a few other responsible members who would like to put in some time to keep the place clean?
Fair point. I'll get to work on deleting them whenever I get the time. Either this evening, or Monday..Mr AusAdventure said:Really? You don't see the point in deleting them? I see them as making the place look crap to those people who are new here, maybe scrolling through the posts to see if it is a site worth joining.
Personally I'd consider that person pretty petty, and I don't think I'd want them around.Mr AusAdventure said:If they see posts all over that are clearly spam, they may choose not to join the community here. That's my thinking anyway.

I know a case where captcha avoided all spambots (not idiots spamming the manual way though.)-

I've added a captcha to new sign ups so I'll play it by ear on how that goes etc
I'm cautious about putting up walls that could cause real members issues with posting blah blah - However, I think I'm going to add a post limit before people are allowed to link to third party websites. If someone wants to add a link, then you earn that right to be honest.
The same will go for the 'post a video'
Please do shout your thoughts though
Shirou said:It's kinda tricky though, new users might want to post a link to their channels or embed the video here for other users to watch.
I think a very useful feature would be to add something like a tooltip or, I don't know, a yellow square with text on top of the new thread thing to put your text ehhmmm, wait. Will get a pic, cannot explain this right now, my brain is overloaded.
See pic here:

Some people are new to forums and even I often forget the correct BBcode to embed youtube since all forums have that piece of code in a different format.
They can spend a little time becoming part of the community first. Anyone who wants to see their videos can very easily click their YT bookmark and run a quick search for their username as well.Shirou said:It's kinda tricky though, new users might want to post a link to their channels or embed the video here for other users to watch.
