Embedding is alright, as long as the embedded video is yours, on your channel. Re uploading copyrighted content goes against YouTube policy.

I have in the past seen videos of mine re uploaded that I've kinda allowed. Something about 3rd party content not allowed in certain countries. So the guy made some changes to it.
