I was planning to use the Nuemann U87Ai but struggled to get it inside the helmet ;-) SO, i went with the drift one. It sounds a bit crappy if you are into sound stuff but otherwise it's okay I guess.

Drift mic, stripped down and taped...heh.

Reveal your secrets, oh master of sound!!!

It works for me, may not work for others. I'll have to make a video of it when I'm not lazy. That will be a while probably...

Standard drift mic, finding a 2.5mm mic sucks :(

why not got get a 3.5mm mic that u like and use a little £1 convert cable?

Already tried that, the backdoor for the back of the Drift HD is too small for most of the coverter adapters.

I hated the drift mic as no matter where i put it the sound was sub par. No idea why as plenty of others have really good sound with theirs. Maybe it's because I tend to speak quite loudly, especially when going at speed as I think people won't be able to hear me and even on the lowest mic sensitivity setting I got distortion. I swapped to a flexible mic that cost me a few £ off eBay and solved my issue instantly.

Sweet! Got a link to where you purchased this? I really like the idea of a short-stalk flexi vs having all that spaghetti shit in my helmet.

Unfortunately the place I bought mine from only ships to Europe but here's the link anyway so you can see what I bought. others seem to stock it as well.

Thanks! Quite a few of those on EbaY to choose from, and cheap too! Is the boom pretty stiff?
