What Makes An Intro/outro

I've never had an intro unless I'm making a series like my Simpson Desert series, an outro with links to older videos is extremely useful, you can keep watchers watching your videos also having links to social media etc.

I'm probably the least qualified person to comment on this topic as in the noobiest of noobs, but i like the idea of starting every video a bit differently.
Although thats not always practical, just my 2c

Intro - Short (15 secs max!), snappy & with a good song behind it - enticing people in
Outro - Informative (showcasing other social media you are on) - Same music as your intro and no longer than 10 seconds

after 10 to 20 secs I put an 10 secs intro, at the end there's a 45 secs outro with preview of latest videos website URL, like reminder and subscribe button.

when you say an intro with a good song behind it, what genre appeals to our demographic, that being people who watch moto vloggers. Not that I want to whore out for likes and subs. So far I have 5 vids I think, and every time I record I literally am like "I'm just talking to my self. Literally."

I second the 3 second thing. (See what i did there?)

Many have suggested that my outro makes it look like there's about to be a crash or that somebody died! It switches to slowmo, black and white and blurs/fades out. But then i also normally put in a live video link to the next video.

Might need to change that outro though. Don't want to make people feel uncomfortable!

My advice is don't go longer than 3 seconds. You will lose viewers.
In my opinion an intro is all about branding, letting new viewers immediately know whos video they're watching and reinforcing that for repeat viewers as quickly and effectively as possible without annoying regular viewers.
