i won't say what persons have posted videos like that but each to his / her own. And yes its recent. well then i don't want to change the way my channel is, apples and oranges.
Don't! You're channel is great as it is, and you shouldn't feel the need to define it or justify it in any way.

This is how I define it, Moto=Motorbike or cycle Vlog=Video Blog. Blog = An online updated diary, of topic (Usually with 1 general theme), A blog can be personal, about your life, An adventure/trip, Experimentation(Trying new things), Or reviews etc etc. The only Constant is that it is at the Bloggers Perception and Opinions.

After reading through this thread, I would say (contrary to my saying in not really a motovlogger in another thread a minute ago!) that we're all motovloggers in the simplest sense of the word.

We have made a LOG of something we've done / talked about / seen / traveled to.

That log was on VIDEO.

It was logged on, about or around a MOTORBIKE.

Any negative connotations folks may have associated with the term, I would argue have come about because another rider who proudly proclaims themself as a Motovlogger has done something you don't agree with. The term motovlogger alone is purely an accurate functional description of what we ALL do!!

So I concede.

I am Motovlogger!

very well said, especially about the negative connotations part. You are right on the money, when I see a MV riding foolishly our raging over nothing. It does make me feel ashamed to be in the same classification of youtuber as them

Cheers Ollie.

My biggest problem is not so much with the public opinion of us MVloggers as a whole, but closer to home.

I spend all my time easing my gf's mind by telling her that as a biker, yes I ride a more dangerous vehicle, but bikers are a superior road user with heightened senses and a sharper appreciation of what is going on. To sum it up I tell her that we're the Jedi knights of the road.

Then some kn@#end posts a video of him wheelieing through the TV room of an old peoples home while taking a selfie on his burning iPhone. And suddenly my whole argument with her is worthless!

We are (or you are) not responsible for what others do.
When other people who happen to have something in common with you that you value (riding a motorcycle, were born in the same country, like the same authors, for example) act like idiots it means nothing about you. Just like when you act smart or honorable they don't get credit for that.

Everyone is responsible for their own actions and attitude.
No one is responsible for anyone else' actions or attitude.

If you crash your bike, or make a perfect U-turn over there, it has nothing to do with me over here. Even if I taught you how to make a U-turn. You still have to ride your own bike yourself. Each and every time you have to make that U-turn by yourself.
