What do you do during winter?

I'm curious what you vloggers do during winter, those of us who actually have a winter. Does a chunk of the community go dark? Do we watch other vloggers and curse their great year round temperatures? I'm wondering what people do when winter comes, because I'm at a loss.

Since I cannot ride on ice predictably, the bike will be parked. I have a project bike for the winter that should be finished for enjoyment in the springtime. Besides that, I'll just be keeping up with you guys' videos.

First season sitting out during the winter for me, I think I will cry. And desperately trying to get my driving license to avoid sitting on the bus for countless needless hours.

I need to get to work, and I don't have a car, so this will be the 5th winter I've ridden through, but only the 2nd with the tasty heated grips :)

Yes on both accounts. A fair number of people will post much less frequently, while others who are more hardcore riders or simply don't have a severe winter will carry on almost as though nothing changed.

Well, most of you who live in the northern hemisphere will have to put up with watching us in the southern hemisphere ride on!

But where I am, the weather is actually better for riding in the winter time as the temps are not so uncomfortably hot.

Summer riding for me means early morning rides, returning home before it gets too hot. Plus summer time is the wet season here and winter is mostly dry.

So I am moving out of peak riding time just like you guys who suffer from extreme cold and snow.

But I will still get to ride heaps and enjoy the fact that I can ride year round! :D

I guess I'll park the Hornet at my friend's garage because he warms it with heaters all the time, so it is better place for my bike than let it freeze :)

And then I'll sweep dust off my 125cc enduro and have some fun in the snow.

I'll be riding all the same... it only gets cold here in England, worst we get is about -5°C here (which is 23°F), sure the humidity can be bad, the ice sometimes occurs and worst of all the drivers are let loose with summer tyres on. But we get by. :)

In the UK we really get bad enough winters to stop. I drove my car a couple of days last winter due to snow but on the whole I was on the bike.

Seriously?! Here in Czech it's normal to get -10°C to -20°C with shitload of snow. I thought it's colder in England.

Last year we went down to -30 degrees, but that was only a few isolated places, and for a short space of time :)

I'll be riding this winter, apart from when its snowing, when I suffer public transport. I don't fancy taking a sportsbike out in the snow and ice :P

When it gets cold enough my ZZR will be parked.

The ruckus I ride through rain or snow.

For the really bad blizzards and stuff I do have my cage.

Last winter I rode all the way through winter, some of you may remember Extreme, Chessecake and I's trip to the seaside when it was several degrees below freezing, this year however as I am at Uni I will not be riding it as much, but I will take it out when I go back for Christmas.

This will be the first winter since I got back into riding. Being in this part of California where I am at, we don't have real severe winters; Only factor I am worried about is fog but other then that, I plan on riding :D

Hardcore about it, no, just one of the few pros of living in CA :D

Ride as much as I can conditions permitting. Used to jump on my Yamaha 450 dirtbike and play in the snow, but due to surgery I'm selling it..maybe grab a project bike to work on on days I can't ride due to ice, etc

I actually ride and vlog more in the winter than I do in the summer. The summer is just too hot.

You wuss! :P

Have a look for my vids riding my ZX9R in snow and ice a few years ago!

Admittedly, I did get a car license after the last time I started sliding backwards down a hill I was trying to get up, but part of me has kind-of missed it in the last 2 years...

Anyway, I'm forced back on the bike for this Winter for commuting, so that's what I'll be doing.

Snow isn't too bad to ride on, if you're careful - it's the Surprise Morning Ice that I'm not looing forward to hitting. Hopefully the main roads into Birmingham will be well gritted, though...
