What Camera Do You Use?

Hey guys, what camera do you use and why did you pick that said camera?

I use a Drift HD.
I use a GoPro Hero3+ Black Edition. I wanted to get it because I was going to be able to use it with the Sena Go Pro Backpack and the Sena Communication device, more than I would with any other camera.

My only thing is it's hard to hear you sometimes in your videos because of the wind sound from the mic.
Yep, I know, I am working on that. This is where I need help with that next. I have a boom external microphone that comes with it as well as a wired microphone, and I have had to delete some videos that I never post to youtube because of it now. I have the resolution down to 1080p 30fps, but still am working on the wind noise. I bet if I turn down the volume on the headset, that should pick up my voice better, at least I hope so.

I can try to help you out, as you can tell my audio is not perfect but good enough to understand :) I can try to help if needed.

Oh ok, right now, I need all the help I can get. I have tried to put an old sock over the foam part of the microphone, and I still get wind noise. I have on the chin skirt, so the only thing that I can think of is that the internal microphone is either faulty, or I need to do something with it. When I put it on the Microphone on, in the backpack, it will pick up my voice, but if I have the camera on top of my helmet, it will still pick up the wind noise, while my voice is lower than the wind noise. Is that because of the Go Pro internal microphone, the backpack microphone, or is it something else? How do I fix that????

Personally, I use this: Audio-technica Lavcalier Microphone it cost me 40$ and it works like a dream, the sock trick doesn't work as it only muffles your voice and allows the wind to still come in as the foam on a normal mic is special.

Oh ok, I will take it off to see what I can do. I will check out that link. I thought the sock trick would help, but, you are right, it does only muffle my voice.

I do have an android smart phone, and I have a boom mike that I use for the computer, and wonder of that would work as well. What about the deadcatdot one, will that work at reducing wind noise, or any other foam thing from like a hobby store or what?

I have never heard of that camera before, Do you have any videos you can link so we can see the quality?
Its a tough camera, waterproof up to 30 feet with no extra case or anything, like a 150 degree field of view or something like that, uses standard 1/4 20 mount. Goes for bout $170- $200, I got mine for $96 on ebay. Dont really have any compaints with it, cept sometimes the auto angle correction things goes a little funky and records the video upside down, but its easy to flip and the auto thing can be turned off.

I use a contour+2. I like it. More stream line then the GoPro and smaller then the drift. But I am tempted to get a gopro (or clone) for a second handlebar mounted camera.
