What are your favourite YouTube Motorcycle channels?

DanDanTheFireman is a good one I've been addicted to lately

For other small channels - MotoCheez (happens to be a freind of mine) but he does mini truck and jeep content in addition to motorcycle stuff.

Lately I've been on an Itchy Boots watching spree.

I've been watching her for years, but now that I know enough about motovlogging to be more than a beginner I've been paying close attention to how she films, edits, and structures her videos. She does amazing work, and I can tell that now since I can spot the kinds of tricks and techniques she is using.

Kinda lost it after the covid season, some of those episoded were amazing.
But then she had to take an other break, and i hadn't started the Africa season when she did.
So needed to catch up, which i didn't feel like.
Until recently, now binging 3 or 4 video's in a row when i do click on her channel xD

I stopped watching him because it gets so
repetitive.
I understand that repeat is the way to learn. But a bit more pace and a bit less repeating wouldn't hurt xD

+1 on DDFM. Very repetitive. I will click on 1 out of 7 of his videos, and watch a few minutes of it, but it's the same thing over and over again, and I'd rather watch other stuff, like all the MV.com-ers I've subbed to.

You know I haven't watched him in awhile now, and upon some reflection I think you've hit the nail on why.

Ya I can see that - I'm a relatively new subscriber of his so it'll take me a bit to get sick of it but ya I can totally see that. He actually could stand to roll it back to like 1 AAR a week and 1 training video a week or something. There's such a thing as too much content too.

NO!!!!! Never! Side note: I currently have 11 videos uploaded, most of them with thumbnails and details and scheduled to be published, and another 5 or 6 I'll have done in the next week, and am trying to figure out how to schedule them to come out without the content in them becoming stale before publishing.

Ya I can see how scheduling and spacing them out can be an issue if you're talking about current events, or seasonal things, or anything that's time sensitive. I'm wondering what I'm gonna do to keep things alive once the nasty New England winter hits me. Also I'm slacking right now, last video was 10 days ago....should have one by this weekend though.

Off-bike vids, vlog the rare times you CAN get out and ride... well, that's what I do here in the Mid-Atlantic anyway.

Most people say the more frequent you upload videos to your channel the better the channel grows and performs.

Personally, I love the relaxed pace uploading once per week affords me. Uploading more often would be better but I'd rather have my free time than spend that much extra effort on my channel! :D

I have no life :D So, I can afford to spend all the time on the videos.

Daily channels do better yes.
But daily uploaders with only 3% watchtime per video won't do as good as weekly uploaders with 50%+ watchtime per video ;)
(especially if you have midrolls o_O in them )

Oh man, I'm in the worst of both worlds - multiple videos per week of varying lengths and no monetization ... LOL?

If you can upload multiple times a week and have some variety, I feel like that's the winning combo. Motovlog Mondays, Tech Tuesdays, Wheelie Wednesdays (I dunno I'm running out of ideas here) LOL, in any case that seems like it could work quite well...hmmm now if I could only quit my day job.

I'm getting ready to do this. Not sure what the wife will think when I stop contributing to the bill paying, or start siphoning funds out of the joint accounts to pay for my stuff... and come to think of it, she keeps a pretty good eye on money things. Maybe this is a bad idea? I may still go for it :D

The variety thing is a really good idea... I try to do one "destination" ride or install/test/product review video per week, and one vlog per week. If I want to keep up that frequency long-term, I would need to quit my day job. I just got a good couple of weeks of riding weather, and capitalized on it, so now I have a glut of videos that are either done or need editing. The problem right now is there are a couple mentions of COVID, and a few videos with off-bike sections whos audio is marred by cicadas and won't make sense later [I did my level best to minimize/eradicate the noise they make, but I think it's still noticeable... not really sure since I'm half deaf and can hear them in my house while editing].

And now I've derailed this thread completely. Someone will be long shortly to smack some sense into me :D

Me too! I like the relaxed 1-2 video a week format myself. : )
