What Are You Going To Do In Your "off Season?"

It's tough, since I'm just getting started, and pretty soon Massachusetts weather will stop me from riding (I'm not that tough). I'll do some winter prep videos. Info about the bikes. Someone suggested explaining how I made one good Savage from two that weren't so good - that would be a good one. And I'll do some vlogs from my car. I have a Subaru BRZ like Yammie Noob, which will lend itself to some excellent snow donuts and general parking lot shenanigans. :)

I'm in Utah. We get a fair amount of snow but it tends to melt off the roads (and often the grass) in the valley between storms. I hope to do short vlogging rides around town between storms.

I rode to work yesterday morning and it was 35 degree's F. It was a tiny bit cold but not too bad. I think it stays around that temp, during the day, in the winter here. There are a few weeks colder but not too many.

This will be my first winter though so I might be an overly optimistic noob. It's become an addiction over the last 2500 miles.

Tis a good addiction to have!

I plan on switching over the motovlogging section of my channel from bike to truck vlogs. I also have gaming and cooking content to fill the time with, as well as reviews of things.

Someone here gave me a good idea. I'm gonna try and make podcasts consisting of guys from this forum answering 20 questions. it'd be like 20 questions for riders. or something. Have you subbed to my youtube already?

@BlakShadow

I know exactly how you feel regarding New England weather. I live in Southern Maine and the winter makes it pretty tough for me to decide when and what kind of content i'll put up lol guess i'll just do it off the cuff or whenever the roads arnt too salty to take the bike out

There is an off season? 365 days a year, thunderstorm or scorching sun!
I wish I was that hardcore!

If I lived somewhere that didn't get snow I'd probably ride more in the off season. But between snow and the ultra cold I'm a wuss :P

That sounds awesome! I need something like that down here. I need someone to teach me how to wheelie without almost killing myself haha

You'd hate to see what the roads look like here during winter. It's not the wind or the rain/snow. It's the actual ICE on EVERY SINGLE STREET! Plus skidding cars (cause morons can't drive on ice) and FOG! I'm talking REAL FOG! hahah, You'd be better of with razor blade tires :D

Haha, not hardcore. Just that motorcycles are my only form of transport. And it doesn't snow anyway, it just rains and floods.

Uk is pretty much hit and miss when it comes to winter so i could yet ride all winter, some of winter or none of winter. Who knows! I haven't really managed to build up a back log but I've sort of kept video ideas such as helmet set up, and things like that where i don't need to be on the bike, as backup in case i can't do normal vlogs. Hoping it'll be a mild winter though.

Edit: and maybe car vlogs as well. Although the toyota yaris i borrow isn't very manly.

Talk about winter depression, create video's checking the road in motor suit if it is already to ride again, shots like snif on the temerture meter, Reading motomagazines in full leader suit checking again the accu loader and create enough content to post a few rides made earlier.

If you're going to take months-long breaks from riding and you're running a subscribed motovlog channel, you're gonna need to fill in that gap somehow! I honestly don't like just making so many motovlogs over and over, I want to diversify, so that's what I'm doing now. Channels need to have a grounded theme for subscribers, but if other things work too try em out

I ride year round for the most part. Coldest I hit was 24F last year but I rode through a snow covered mtn this April with my group. As long as there isn't ice on the road I just layer up and ride.

Most people who have large breaks just record a lot of footage and release the videos on a schedule to get them through winter. I usually try and record at least 2 vlogs at a time if I can but that doesn't always work.
