I would say that in Wales it's the best to avoid main roads... like A5. Plenty to see there. I have detailed vids with maps on my channel if anyone's looking for interesting spots. Cheers.
On the subject Welsh tours, have you all seen this new Snowdonia 360 loop? https://www.snowdonia360.com/
Basically, a marketing thing from Welsh tourist board and MCN to provide an alternative to the Scottish NC500 route. Look pretty decent route around North Wales, with lots of tie in with local accommodation, restaurants and tourist attractions.
Rode some of this route whilst touring there in August just gone, but I'd definitely be up for heading back to Wales to do this route in 2021 once the Covid restrictions ease.
