Vlogging Through Horrible/low Moods?

MsRandomnS

Makes vlogs, deletes them.
I'm sure that we all experience horrible moods sometimes. Some experience them much more frequently and longer than others. What do you do when you are going through this? Do you try to vlog through it? Do you give yourself time to cool off and feel a bit better? If you try to vlog through low moods, do you worry that it will rub off into your vlogs? If you give yourself time, do you worry about keeping up with your schedule (if you have one)?

I'd really like to know how you lovely folks handle this, should you go through it.

Thanks~! :)

I usually feel a lot better when I'm on the bike, but I've gone through a low spell or two since I started. I keep the vlogs very short and to the point and then just enjoy the ride. Luckily I have a bit of a backlog/buffer going so I have the option of editing footage I filmed during a low when I'm not in a low anymore

If you're not up to vlogging maybe just edit some footage together with a song. I've made a few and people seem to like them. Either way, don't feel pressured into making videos. Just enjoy yourself :)

I have that problem, as I always vlog on a monday morning on the way to work, I'm often half asleep and grumpy. If I feel that I've made a crappy vlog I try re-record on the way home and be a bit more upbeat.

This morning I didn't feel like doing much, our 2 year old has been projectile vomiting for the last week and I copped a big one last night.

But as there was a big ride on I made the effort to get out.

Result, 4 videos done in one day. Really took my mind off things just getting out there.

I should consider building up a backlog.

I do feel pressured sometimes--unnecessarily so most of the time. I'm going to have to give music edits a go. I've actually watched a couple of yours and they are enjoyable.

Monday mornings are the worst. Vlogging during a Monday morning commute is nothing short of a wonder to behold. Kudos.

First, I'd like to wish you all the best with your kid; I hope things get better soon.

Four videos done in a day? That's some major productivity.

Pretty much what BluePixel said. If I'm not in the mood for talking, I just don't. Usually if I get on my bike and I'm in a low mood, I start to feel better, though. I mostly vlog when I have a story to tell or if I see something funny out on the road and laugh at it. I have a lot of footage of just me breathing and engine noise/wind shear, but all that just goes int he trash. I try to get vlogs out every Wednesday, but if I fail, it's no big deal. If I were to start yanking in a ton of adsense money, that might change but right now it's not happening, so it's not like it's my job or something.

I use vlogging to let out how I feel about the current thoughts in my head, sometimes I have low points but that's what riding is for so it relaxes you.

I think I'm a bit too self-conscious to openly vlog about what's on my mind during a low mood.

I took off biking and vlogging for a while, if you don't want to then don't do it. Shouldn't be a job or a chore. I usually just say whatever I want, good mood or bad. You don't have to publish it, but at least you have some footage if you want to work with it!

I tried vlogging but could never think of anything to say, to focused on riding, and the vlogs I did do just weren't interesting to watch when I watched them back so I never uploaded them. But like above, it should never be a chore to vlog. If you aren't enjoying it then maybe look at doing something else instead.

If I am down, riding usually perks me up fast, so if the gopro is on me, Ill feel good enough to vlog after just a few minutes. If that doesnt work, venting can help as said above, sometimes turn out to be good vlogs also. If all else fails I go to the range and pop of a few hundred rounds into a paper target.

It's not that I don't enjoy it--I still look forward to it and it's never been a chore--I'm just afraid of whatever is affecting me affecting what I want to put out, is all. Vlogging, in itself, isn't the problem. Thanks for the suggestion though. :)
