Vlogging On A 2 Stroke Road Bike?

Zeus

Just arrived on Earth.
Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone's had any success with vlogging on a stroker road bike.

I'm trying to make one on my rgv 250 but having a nightmare with noise levels and the levels of concentration involved in shooting this little bike round the corners.

It would feel wrong doing a vlog on a straight piece of road on this little beast but I'm running out of other ideas...

For the noise level you could try a different mic setup, perhaps something with noise cancellation or adding more insulation to the helmet to help.
As for the riding and not being able to concentrate on vlogging and riding the bike, there are really only two options. Become more comfortable on the bike to be able to vlog at the same time or dont vlog and rid this bike.
Perhaps record and then voice over the video after, or the parts you are not wanting to talk in the video?

I'm not sure what you can do about the noise, but being able to talk while riding through corners for me just came with practice.

I use a big wool sock for wind noise witch works good, but 2 stroke ding a lings I don't know if it would keep it down

2strokes can get loud, but so can 4 stroke bikes... It all depends on the can you got, and the microphone placement. Try out some different ideas, there is bound to be one that does it ok!

I'd love to watch vlogs on a 2 stroke, as for the sound try with the visor shut and microphone behind the cheek pads? Can't think of what more you could do than that

Yeah I really want to capture the two strokes sound but also it's feel to ride which is really challenging me with new ideas.

The gears are so close you have to plan ahead.

This is just for a one-off vlog, its not going to be my full timer.

It's so responsive and aggressive, in a way it feels much more like a sports bike than my 750...

Here's a photo of the noisey old girl:
