Vlog Buffer

Evening all.

I'm ahead with vlogs, I've got a few waiting to go live, and have set this up on purpose as I'll not be able to use the bike for nearly 3 weeks due to work commitments. I've also got a few ride outs I can set to music too, but as yet I've not edited them, and that I haven't found music I think fitting yet.

I've now got a dilemma that I don't know what order to put them out in... I have 4 vlogs, a music vid, a sticker board vid and my 6th randoms episode. Anyone else been in this position?

Might be another couple I get done before my work commitments start too!

What do others do when they know they can't be on the bike for a bit? I'm no gamer, so I can't resort to that like some do. D you guys get ahead with vlogs by slow release allowing a queue to form or recording several at once to tide you over?

I have 2 UK rides, my Portugal series and a Swiss bike group tour to edit.

This is my winter collection and I hope it will last me until February when the snow stops and I can get back onto the vlogs.

ID say the sticker one first as ive seen the jedi uk do something along the lines with stickers in holme moss/firth, Then id pick from relevance on topics after that then put the music video in between them to break it up :) And when im off the bike for a while its usually out of my hands so i cant plan ahead for it.

I'm currently locked into the natural chronology of my vlogs. (I know, aren't we all. Anti-depressants help)

I have the 2000km or so coming back from Spain, then I actually sold my bike due to international and ergonomic pressures. So I have the ride back to UK, followed by test riding newer bikes, eventualy buying one and then some stuff on and around that.

So I can't monkey the order up or I'll spoil the new bike surprise! Still, sometimes it's better to have less choice in my opinion! You can't worry about making the wrong choice if you had none!

I guess a when exchanging bikes, you need to keep some order, although if you have the footage, then you have the buffer! My stuff up until recently has been by and large chronological, the odd vid has jumped an older one by virtue of I hadn't done some editing of a given topic and then I wanted to do a video reply to someone or some other reason.

I'm a little concerned about putting out older videos now as the sound quality and dual view setup are what people expect from my videos.

My audio quality hasn't changed, although there's a mix of 1080/30 and 720/60 kicking about, and some I'll have to drop back to 720/30 possibly if there's mixed footage being cut together. Sod it, I'll go buy two cameras that do 1080/60 :)

Because of my hectic life schedule I jusrt record a bunch of footage, vlogs and such when I get out riding. Then as time permits I edit. As a result I tend to have a buffer of videos ready to upload. Over the summer I got into this habit and as a result I have about 25 videos in the queue to slowly upload while my riding season it actually over for the winter months. However if there is a time specifric event I might upload a video right after a ride because of that relevance.

Yup! If you're that worried just say it's fottage from your previous rig. Job done. The content counts as well as the audio!

I mean i dont think anyone has to worry about what there viewers will think when we dont have that many subs tbf

If i recorded something over a week ago, it never sees the light of day. If it was a good topic, I'll go and talk about it again. I dont know why, but I never use old footage or get ahead on videos. I record, edit and upload within a few days or just delete the footage.

No, but you can title the video and create a playlist so people are aware it's not current, so to speak. If they then know there is a playlist of stuff from yesteryear, then they can easily find it.

I'm always in video buffer land. I just post my videos based on which ones I like the most in my stack and push the ones I don't like further down the list. The only thing that sucks about this is I haven't ridden in 3 weeks due to work and watching and editing my older stuff gives me the itch.
