Hi, the next batch of recorders should be here in the next few weeks. I believe there was was a modification with the way the signal camera from the head to the recorder. As to whether this is a software or a hardware upgrade, let me find this out for you, one minute please
I've just been advised that this is a hardware modification in the recorder itself

About 1 year.. so Im guessing no upgrade

It is not possible to apply a software update, it will require a completely new camera head for this. I have been re-affirmed that all existing units will perform at the same quality as the new batch, it is only an internal modification

The modification is related to creating a camera that can take an extension hence the change
This is not related in any way to the units performance or video quality

This is from DogCam Sport in the UK, found them to be very good if a little pricey for some units. Excellent support though.
