Video Storage

anyone using cloud storage for raw video? I didn't know if amazon's prime photo worked with video too, that's unlimited if you have a prime account. What about Microsoft 365???

I have a 1tb HDD and 512SSD in my laptop so i edit my current work on the 1tb HDD and after it is uploaded i move the projects to my external 1TB HDD.

I only keep clips that i use or plan to use and when i import from my drift i cut the clips in the right size and place ready to use

I've stopped at 3 and regressed back to 1.
;) For my daily commute I've decided to just go with 1, but when riding on weekends I'm going with 2-3.
I could see running four... helmet ( on right side for me ), stationary forward camera ( on the left ), low angle camera and either rear or rider cam.
I go back and forth on the rider cam view not much to see in a full face helmet.

I whip them all out for special passes too. Sounds like you're doing it right changing it up too :)

I have 1TB space on my computer and my work files have taken half of it. Earlier I used to keep all the video files but now after editing . If there is something interesting I keep that clip and delete rest of it

I tend to skim over what I recorded as soon as possible after I get home and decide what footage, if any, I want to use. That stays on my main drive until it's edited when I move it to an external 2TB drive. Footage I don't see any use for goes straight to the external drive, and once it starts filling up I'll skim through the oldest files again and see if there was anything interesting I missed and could use in a clip compilation type thingy. If there isn't, I hit delete and that's that.

Given I've only used a quarter of the drive so far, and the two cameras I'm running use about 13GB for an hours recording, I shouldn't need to worry about clearing our old footage for a while yet.

Get an external hard drive.... 1TB? I usually edit my vids first and keep my uploads and delete the original file. i shoot in 1080p so a 12min vid is like 2gb... after edit .. the motovlog will be about 500-800mb depending on length. if you want to keep the original just convert it into a lower but good enough quality.

I keep snippets for my "Clip shows" eveything else is deleted, even the vlogs, After i have uploaded and added annotations, i delete the files

External Hard drives! I'm up to a few hundred gigabytes of footage so I keep what i'm using immediately on a 1TB hard drive

I have only just started but I have separated all my clips into folders and as my HDD gets full I'll delete them in order of oldest first, it's good too keep them in case of editing mistakes and what not.

I'm using a 1tb external drive, but it seems to be filling quite quickly.

Think its time to cull some footage.
