I've been riding the same bike for 4 years. 2006 Honda CBR F4i. I have just about 70,000 miles and it's never been in the shop once. Of course maybe for new chains, tires....little stuff. But when it comes to engine work the bike has been 100% reliable and never any issues. But....
I'm getting to the point of wondering about a valve adjustment and while the head is off to do a cam chain replacement. My question is: Is anyone familiar with the F4i motor enough to know if the cam chain is easily replaceable one the head is off? If check valve tolerance at 50k and I was perfectly in spec. I "should" still be good on that. I'm looking to do all the work myself so while I'm in there doing all the math for the valve shims, marking the cam shaft with chalk for placement, yada yada.... Can I take the cam chain off without a full tear down? Thanks!
