Doing the tread is where its at now.
Yeah, I was tempted but I have mixed feelings not sure if I like it or not in the tread, I was thinking about painting the devil horns tread on my Angel GT tyres Red, I might try paining the GROM's tread and see how I like it..

It's not going to last. I think by now you've figured out, it's a waste of time & money. Useful for trailered show bikes....that's about it.

I used it on my car tires, and 50 miles later it looked like absolute garbage. The white turned gray....then dark gray until it disintegrated.

Why does this happen? Oils used in the manufacture of the tires are constantly moving to the surface of the tire, keeping it pliable. These oils ruin the white finish, and your nice lettering job will look like crap. If I remember right, there are lettering kits that are like plastic with adhesive on the back that actually last, but it's expensive.

I have done this a few times on my bike, first time was white, second red and about to do it in silver... Contemplated doing a video on how I do it, lasts a few hundred ks before it starts too fade and look a little trashy

I think il the lettering looks cool on race bikes, and white lettering can look cool on classic or cafe racer bikes. I do have a set of tires for my van with white lettering, but it's a PITA to keep them looking good. I'm Not sure if I'd do them on my bike, just because I probably won't be able to keep them looking good.

Yeah, I think this might be a one time thing or at least not very often though I may have some fun with it on the GROM as that's what it's all about!

Been there, done that.. It's fun to do but can get tedious when your tire brand is so damn long (f*ck you Bridgestone LoL), but it doesn't last long and will fade/flake off.

I think it depends on what bike your doing it on..... I did on my ZX7R and that looked sweet

I think the GROM is the perfect bike because of the extreme sportiness of the bike especially with the "Vee Rubber" tyres which are well known on the racetrack... or because it's a f*uck around bike and adds to the 'look at me i'm on a tiny yellow bike' look... one or the other ;)

That looks really nice, nice contrast with the green, yeah the bike's sitting for a month while I'm in Sydney I'm curious to see if the the oils in the tyre will have faded it while it's not been moving, but I am resigned to the fact that It's gonna look poop soon :P
