So this year I decided I am going to go on the 34th annual Olympia Toy Run. There is just one problem, every article, every picture, every video, every everything I can find on the run all shows and talks about nothing but cruizer style bikes. I mean I know it's all for charity but why do I feel like I won't be welcome showing up on my loud ass Gixxer with a Mohawk on my helmet. Normally I wouldn't care but experience has shown me that some of the most harsh judgements I have received as a motorcyclist has been from Harley dudes. Should I be worried?

if you do just dont be the "sport biker" personality. no whelies or lane splitting. or stoppies deffinanlty no stoppies

It's a toy run!! .. For the kids!! ... You show up with a present and ride! ... They gonna kick you out for helping kids?

You might end up as the ambassador for Sport/Harley brotherhood and world peace everywhere!

Yeah all the toy runs and charity runs over here are ruled by cruisers...but there are sport bike riders that attend as well. As long as you ride sensibly and don't act like a hooligan, the cruisers should warm up to you and realize you're a good dude. I find it cool when I see a sport bike rider riding sensibly amongst cruiser riders for charity events. We usually have a small sportbike group of two within the large crowds of cruiser guys at the charity events. I bet you'll find a group of sportbike riders to mesh with..if not...no worries!

Is there so much animosity between cruisers and sport bike riders?

Luckily in South Africa, everyone is pretty chilled. I did the ToyRun this year as a group with 4 Harleys, a Speed Triple, a Panigale, a Transalp, 2 1200GS and my Street Triple. We then went on a ride to Soweto for lunch. Awesome day. Funny thing is, the Harley guys lead the pack. Crazy dudes.

Even though Australia is getting taken over by HardleyDavidsons etc. The last 27 years of ToyRuns ive been to have ALLWAYS had a large population of S/bikes. DONT SWEAT!!
Do what the cows do, and only hang with the cows in the paddock??

ANYONE ona Cruiser/Dual/Scooter/Pram/Car/Sport/WalkingCane/Blue andRed Lights/a white wig/ANYONE, who has an issue with what i ride, or even the fact that i Ride or even who i 'Associate with'.

CAN LICK+EAT THE LITTLE BALLS OF SH^T, THAT YOU SOMETIMES GET STUCK IN ARSE HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just my POV

Most charity runs in the US are dominated by cruisers, but they're usually open to anyone. I think they're dominated so much by cruisers because those tend to be the older guys with more disposable income.

I've never heard of someone on a sportbike being turned away, or even being looked down on (in a serious way anyway.) I say go, but be on your best behavior. There -will- be a few guys there who hate sportbikes. Show them that we're not all stunt riding douchebags. You'd be amazed at how far you can get by just riding like a normal, sensible person.
