hey guys, well as you may know if you saw my pics/videos on here we had a bit of snow this weekend. Just before I start work experiance mum said to me "oh by the way we're on an orange alert for snow" no problem just both feet down and man up right? well she said about 10-15 cm *eeek* so I'll be back but I may be some time. Will take pics if possible!

anyway guys ride safe

be careful out there yourself! We have had an unconfirmed fatal nearby this morning, car v bike, you can guess who lost that battle, and its not even snowing. Would be nice to see some pics, but maybe walk rather than ride?

New bike, new tyres, slight difference in riding style..... Riding in deep snow!
Wish you all the the luck in the world, very brave.

Would be good to see some pics though. :)

just got back in and it's started! really lucky =) if snow is too deep, no work tomorrow. I still get some pics of a cold looking bike (no garage at my mum's) if there's enough of the white stuff. hope noone else is caught out by it. and hope the guy (if non fatal) turns out ok.

So glad you made it safe! Riding in sketchy conditions is sketchy. I rode about 12-15 miles on a couple inches of fresh powder with the Ninja 250 once. Had a few scary moments with the back end sliding all over the place, one nasty tank slapper... Somehow stayed upright. Changed my pants when I got home. Didn't film that one.

I did film this one. Just glad I was on a motard and not a bike with fancy plastics. I wouldn't have even attempted that (I was going to work) if A) I expected it to be that icy on the back roads of my neighborhood (my street was just snowy), and B) There was traffic. I knew the main roads were clear. I just had to make it out of my neighborhood. Alas...

Anyway, all that to say... So glad you're okay!

Last year when we had weeks of snow, one day i'd had enough and ventured out on my moped. Crashed twice, defintaly not to be repeated.

Love the snow but you have to get the bike to ride it.....Thats why my road bike is sorned over winter and the off roader comes out!

I went out on my moped then too, on the un-gritted roads to see my girlfriend at the time. Did 10-15 miles all together, hit ice and lost the rear wheel twice, drove through fog aswell as beaching it (or snowing it?) in thick snow so I had to get off and push... All in one day, and managed to stay on somehow. So even though it is dangerous, it is possible

here's my helmet, after the ride through the freezing fog the lid started to ice up =/

That's the worst! The bummer part about riding in sub freezing temps is that any helmet fog at all will turn to frost. Then there's no getting it off unless you go inside somewhere warm. But riding with it open is so cold, it's blinding. Ugh. I hate that.

yeah and togive you an idea of how bad it was I actually have one of those double layer anti fog visors. And I wear glasses don't want those to freeze up
