I've got a video that gets quite a few comments per day. I like to stay on top of my comments when it comes to replying and deleting troll messages.
The problem is that if you click on the link in your email it takes you directly to your video and if you have ads that run before the video you are going to inadvertently be seeing you own ad. I was clicking pause on the video and then scrolling down to deal with my comments.
I noticed that my ads before the video stopped playing and it was only showing the banner ad that pops up about 30 seconds into the video. I've questioned youtube about this and asked if I'm being penalized for dealing with my comments... No good answers from them or google adsense.
So my solution is to make a bookmarked page from my video manager. If you go to your vid in question on the manager you can click the comment link and it will take you to a page with ONLY the comments and no video/ads playing. Once there, bookmark it and when you see the next email just click your bookmark instead of the link in the email.
