Thoughts On Subs ( I Know, Another Thread About Subs)

How important do you view getting Subs? I just recently posted a few videos after a 7 month stop in vlogging and they are getting a ton of traffic, but no new subs. What are your thoughts on this? Should I even care? Curious to think what ya'll think

yup, I'd not worry about subs too much.... although showing appreciation to those that hang around can't hurt. I guess saying thanks at milestone points (100, 500, 1000, 5000,10000, etc) would be appropriate.

Yeah, although it feels nice when people sub, it really doesn't make much difference and certainly doesn't earn any money. Likes/dislikes and comments get more attention with the YT algorithm.

To see if your vids are hitting the mark check the stats to see how much of the videos people are watching.
Yea, nowadays I ask my viewers to leave a dislike if they didn't like the video, rather than just turn it off. It definitely helps.

Dislikes suck, but they're ultimately still better than indifference.

I'm subscribed to so many channels, yet YouTube tracks what you watch. Despite being subscribed to every JDM related channel - since lately I've watched motorcycle related tutorials - I only see videos from my MC related subscriptions.

I just got really excited I recently reached 20 subs lol. So far feedback has been good and I get about 50% of that I views so I guess that's pretty fair. It's just slow growing :)
It's nice to see it go up, but it can also go down, if you pay too much attention to the numbers, sometimes you might feel bummed out if they are not hitting your expectation, hence why I'd say you should not care about the numbers. Focus on feedback (if any) to improve your next upload, and continue to have fun posting your stuff up.
