As always... to each their own... For me.. I would rather sweat than bleed. I always have my leather jacket, race gloves, boots and my RS Tiachi knee pads under my pants. Helmet is a given and a must in Va.

Gear is essential! Road rash does suck. I bought all my gear before I even got my motorcycle.

I always wear gloves and a helmet, but i don't wear my jacket as much as i should.

That's the best way to do it. That way you don't even run into the temptation of riding with gear.
