This Operation Returned Because The Timeout Period Expired

so i have a gopro hero 4 black and memory card is Lexar Professional 64GB Class 10 UHS-I 300x Speed (45MB/s) MicroSDXC Flash Memory Card

but when i put the gopro onto the pc and try to copy over my footage i get this operation returned because the timeout period expired, i have tried to just out the card into the pc on its own but it wants to format it when i do that. any ideas or so i just have to get a new expensive card because this one is fooked

Did you format the card before using, if yes, did you use the GoPro to format it, or the computer?

Try formatting the card using the GoPro and record. Copy the file to the computer and see if that works.

Yes, and sometimes, like with my mac, I had to format the card on my computer, then again with the GOPRO to get it to work right.
