THIS is why bike riding is oh so dangerous!

Yeah so basically just on our way back from a lovely ride out in this sweltering 27 degrees celsius, and this happens.

NOTE: I indicate properly in the correct position. This guy was in the far left hand lane which turns left ONLY. I emergency braked and managed to miss the car by maybe a metre at most. I would've gone face first into the side of the car and, more likely than not, been turned into a pile of mush.

Bikers in the UK make up only 1% of all road traffic, yet they account for more than 20% of all road deaths. And cagers like this are one of the main reasons why.

Thanks to Tomasstone69 for the footage!

Bloody hell that was close. Well done for stopping.

Luckily I learnt from when I LAST got hit on a roundabout and did like 2 or 3 shoulder checks. I saw this guy come flying towards the roundabout and noted that he didnt even bother to look in my direction so I instantly covered my brakes. I also had a road rage incident earlier with a guy who seemed rather too impatient. As I let someone through he barged through the gap and missed me by like an inch, after then giving him the two finger gesture he pulled over and threatened to knock me off my bike.

My reply to THIS twat was bring it, both of my friends I was riding with had cameras rolling.

GOTTA LOVE CAGERS! <3 <3

I got knocked off on a roundabout once by a hit and run driver, and I was pinned under my bike, and no one stopped to help, car drivers just drove around me, another biker stopped to lift the bike off me

I got knocked off on a roundabout in February. The one witness who could have helped me win my claim just buggered off. The audacity of some people is incredible. This huge drive for personal human greed where it's all about an individual is complete babble bullshit, that's what's so great about the biking community, 9 times out of 10 bikers are people who look out of other bikers.

This happens quite alot up near me! In Guildford, people get the lanes wrong and end up nearly crashing, bloody nightmare, well done for breaking in time dude!

The worst part is I looked straight at the guy and he didn't even bother to look right, so he crosses from the turning left lane to the middle lane right across me and didn't even look once. Pretty sure he didnt even bother to check his mirrors to see if he might hit anyone.

I was coming down a 3 lane duel carriage way today as an example of getting lanes wrong and a business man in his horrible audi waiting in traffic at stand still pulled out in front of me, i pulled next to him at lights up ahead and pointed out i skidded to not go into the back of his 'baby' and he laughed. Wasnt funny for him though when he did the same thing to a police car seconds later and got pulled, couldnt help but point and laugh back :)

Glad you are ok! Too close on that one..whew

Worst part is that he was in the FAR left lane (turning left only) AND crossed the lines ON the lane coming off the roundabout.

Suffice to say I absolutely shit myself.
