Am I wrong to get annoyed with car drivers breaking the...
...road laws when we all probably break the same laws at other times? Or is it just that catching it on camera makes me feel a little superior? Or a little coppish?

Capisce?

Oh there's a little bit of bad language in there too, all of it muffled by my scarf. So apologies.

I'd certainly try and let it go over your head, no use in getting heated up over it. I think it was someone on here once who was almost run off the road after a roundabout by someone who then slammed their brakes on and got out to shout at him, maybe up in Scotland. Now THAT was something to get angry about.

You on a 50cc?

Yea he did wrong but your road positioning is really bad dude - Go closer to the white line and people won't overtake as much )

It's your road as well

Hi Seomers. I'm on a 125, just ridden it in. Prior to now was keeping it to 50mph at max, or 80percent of the throttle.

The road is a 30mph limit - the roundabout I had just gone round is the entrance to a large school. Not sure exactly what speed I was at, but I was at least on the limit, if you know what I mean.

My road position was middle of the lane, as it usually is, and you can see it from most of my videos. I can't hover near the white line (middle of the road) as I am not trying to get into overtake mode - not that I could really on a 125, especially on that road, plus the double whites prevent me from even thinking about it. But I thought middle of the lane was the "right" place to be, according to the various riding manuals I have been reading to speed me up to take my test? I certainly don't hug the left hand side like a cyclist.

Would like to hear from others whether they believe my positioning is bad, as I am still learning and would appreciate advice.

Re: Am I wrong to get annoyed with car drivers breaking the.

Everyday see this shot, on the way home two red light jumpers, countless mobile phone users. One attempt by a 4 by 4 to lane change into me, lady in a old shit cat hit me as I was still.

I give up on car drivers some times, seems like getting a bike licence is getting harder and harder but ya can be a blind wanker and get a car licence by demonstrating a complete lack of awareness.

The way i think about laws on the road is there in place to keep everyone safe. if you and the range rover were swapped id think nothing of it as normally a bike takes up no space in comparison and can move a lot quicker.

But yer i think anyone on here would be pissed at that.

Re: Am I wrong to get annoyed with car drivers breaking the.

Ouch! Looks like the guy was completely over double white lines with limited visibility on that side of the road ahead. Something coming the other way could have caused this to go south very quickly.

I'd certainly be fuming at that, but, as Stenno says, you need to learn to let it go - hard to do sometimes and I'm as guilty as anyone for "having a go" sometimes. This guy must have known he did something wrong and didn't care. Tackling the situation would not have helped.

If a car had been coming the other way, however, I'd probably have been looking at reporting it.

This is why we always need to be watching all around, riding defensively making sure we have somewhere to go if a situation occurs.
